Shambhala 2017 – Amphitheatre Stage

Sound Movement

This was a dream come true for us and we felt so incredibly blessed to have been given the opportunity to grace the stage next to so many amazingly talented performers.

We saw so many incredible acts take over The AMP stage this year. One after another, we were constantly blown away – So many beautiful collaborations, so many random epic throw downs that vibrated us to our core. (Umm, Rachel and  Riley‘s set as it started to torrential downpour around us was a moment we won’t soon forget).

Working along side The AMP crew was such an awesome experience – Everyone was so welcoming, friendly, passionate and organized.

We felt at home.

With that said, we’d like to give a big shout out to all of the Sound Movementcollaborators that came together as one to make this dream a reality – JennaCarlyTessDanielleMandyClaireKyle and Brièle – Evoke dance and Katalyst!

A very special thank you to Brie-Ana Laboucane and Mike Stew for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to shine bright alongside The AMP team!!

We hope to see you next year!

Shambhala Music Festival was born from a vision as grassroots as it gets. On a sunny Labour Day weekend back 1998, some 500 people gathered at the Salmo River Ranch for a party that showcased local art and music. Since those early, heady days, Shambhala grew with enthusiasm by word of mouth, quickly becoming a staple event for the West Coast underground electronic music scene. Today it attracts world renowned DJs and artists and some of the most eclectic, energetic fans in the universe. The festival is built on Shambhalove which shines bright to this day.

By 2010, fueled by what festival goers call “Shambhalove,” 15,000 guests, artists and crew were coming to dance and be free in the wilds of interior British Columbia. Today, people come to enjoy the festival’s focus of providing amazing art, music and organic food supplied through the festival’s own venues; Night Owl (locally roasted coffee from Oso Negro), Farm Fresh (fresh, organic ingredients made into smoothies) and Blaze Burgers (meat produced from happy cows raised on the Salmo River Ranch). For 2017, our 20th anniversary – the journey continues to grow and evolve, with some new stage developments that are sure to blow minds.
